Intelligent sensor plugs SGS enable the EDC to automatically detect the connected sensor. A built-in reference voltage generator and EEPROM store all the relevant sensor data, as well as calibration and linearisation values. This means that once a sensor has been calibrated, it can be used without any problems on different EDC systems, and does not need to be calibrated or linearised again. The connector is fine-tuned to the sensor’s sensitivity and therefore guarantees precise and reliable signal conditioning.
